Healthcare

Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege. Yet hundreds of thousands of Tennesseans remain uninsured while the cost of care keeps climbing. Our state’s refusal to expand Medicaid has left too many of us without a doctor when we need one most, and it has pushed hospitals in Memphis and across rural Tennessee to the brink.

Our community deserves a representative who will fight to make quality healthcare affordable and within reach.

What I'm Fighting For

  • Expand TennCare (Medicaid). Full expansion would cover hundreds of thousands of Tennesseans, close the coverage gap, and bring our own tax dollars back home to keep hospitals open.
  • Protect TennCare from cuts, red tape, and work requirements designed to kick eligible people off their coverage.
  • Keep hospitals and clinics open in Memphis and in rural communities that have already lost too much care.
  • Lower the cost of prescriptions and take on the industry monopolies that keep prices high.
  • Fully fund mental and behavioral health, and treat addiction as the health crisis it is.
