Climate

The climate crisis isn’t a future threat. It’s already here, and communities of color in Memphis carry the heaviest burden. No one, no matter their income or zip code, should have to worry about the air they breathe or the water they drink.

I fight for a transition to a green economy that puts the health and pockets of working families ahead of corporate profits.

What I'm Fighting For

  • Protect clean air and water in South Memphis and every frontline neighborhood that has been treated as a dumping ground for too long.
  • Hold polluters and large data centers accountable for the emissions and the strain they put on our air, our grid, and our water.
  • Invest in clean energy careers, weatherization, and community-led projects that protect both people and the planet.
  • Prevent residents from footing the bill for big tech’s expansion through higher utility bills by requiring high-demand data centers to pay for their own grid and water upgrades.
  • Renew our infrastructure: repair aging water systems and expand MATA transit so working people can get to work without a two-hour commute.
