For too long, too many Tennesseans have watched the cost of living climb while wages struggle to keep pace. Families are paying more for groceries, housing, childcare, and healthcare while wondering whether their elected leaders truly understand the challenges they face. Public schools continue to fight for the resources they deserve, neighborhoods are asking for safer communities, and working families simply want a fair opportunity to build a better life.
That is why I am running for re-election to the Tennessee House of Representatives.
When you first elected me, I made a promise that I would be accessible, accountable, and willing to work with anyone to deliver results for our community. I have never forgotten that promise. Whether helping constituents navigate state government, securing resources for our neighborhoods, or passing meaningful legislation in one of the most politically divided legislatures in America, I have remained focused on serving people — not politics.
As House Democratic Floor Leader and Chairman of the Shelby County Legislative Delegation, I have proven that leadership is not measured by party labels but by results. Even in a Republican supermajority, I have successfully passed legislation that protects Tennessee seniors, supports educators, strengthens higher education, and improves the lives of working families. I believe government works best when leaders are willing to listen, build relationships, and fight relentlessly for the people they represent.
Every family deserves safe neighborhoods, affordable healthcare, and a government that treats them with fairness and respect.
I am also running because I believe Tennessee should be a place where every person is valued — not divided by politics, race, religion, sexual orientation, or where they come from. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and I will continue fighting to protect the rights and freedoms of every Tennessean.
District 91 deserves a representative who answers the phone, shows up in the community, and never forgets who sent them to Nashville. Throughout my time in office, I have remained committed to being present, accessible, and responsive — because public service is not about holding a title. It is about helping people.
There is still more work to do. Together, we can continue expanding economic opportunity, investing in our schools, supporting small businesses, improving public safety, lowering costs for working families, and ensuring that every resident of District 91 has the opportunity to succeed.
I have never stopped fighting for our community, and with your support, I never will.
